Karen Litzinger, MA, LPC
Karen has an in-person pet loss counseling practice in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.  Her focus is on short term counseling of one to four sessions through reflective listening, experiential exercises, cognitive therapy, and memorial ritual.  If further counseling is advisable, Karen can make referrals to area therapists.

Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and completed the 10 hour Certificate of Training through the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement in 2010.  She is the only person in Western Pennsylvania to have done so, and is only one of four in Pennsylvania with this specialized training.  Karen also received a week long training through the American Academy of Bereavement in 1998 to become a Certified Bereavement Facilitator.
